Dr. Livingston was born in Detroit, MI to Mr. Willie Lee Livingston (deceased) and Mrs. Carrie Lee Livingston. He is the eighth of nine children born to this union. Dr. Livingston confessed Christ as his Lord and savior at the age of 19 in Ansbach Germany while serving as an infantry soldier in the U.S. Army. As he matured his faith, he began to sense a call to the Gospel ministry. Accordingly, he preached his first sermon at age 21 at the Little Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Clarksville, TN, under the pastoral leadership of the Late Dr. Leroy Burgess.
His first sermon was titled, “Choose you this Day Whom You Will Serve” from Joshua 24:15. The gift of God was manifested through the power of his first sermon and the church body unanimously approved him for ministry. His first sermon was only a shadow of things to come as his ministry journey began. After leaving Clarksville and returning to his hometown in Detroit, Dr. Livingston joined the Macedonia Baptist Church, under the pastoral leadership of Pastor Charles D. Twymon. There he was ordained, served as organist and Youth Pastor for several years while he pursued his formal education.
Dr. Livingston is a graduate of William Tyndale College in Farmington Hills, MI. He earned both his Associates of Liberal Arts and his Bachelor of Arts in Social Science. He is also a graduate of Faith Evangelical Seminary in Tacoma, WA, where he earned his Master of Divinity Degree. He also earned his Doctor of Ministry Degree from Andersonville Theological Seminary, Camilla GA. In addition, Dr. Livingston is the recipient of several awards: The David Fairless Public Speaking Award, Strauss Expository Preaching Award, Tyndale English Grammar Award, the Nashville Trailblazer Award, He has ten marathon finisher medals (26.2 miles), and he is a Desert Storm & Operation New Dawn Veteran with several military recognitions and honors.
Dr. Livingston is the Pastor of Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church since March of 2003, voted the Best Baptist Church in Clarksville by the U.S. Commerce Association in 2009 & 2010. In addition to his pastoral duties, Dr. Livingston is a Biblical Studies Professor at the Hopkinsville College of the Bible, in Hopkinsville, KY and he is a U.S. Army Chaplain in the Michigan Army National Guard.
Dr. Livingston is married to the former Yolanda Olive since September 03, 1994. They have a daughter, Jireh who was born in January of 2007.
